Shredding Stats

We started measuring ourselves on the 1st January 2013, I only wish we had started the Jan before, but hey ho!

I like to measure my right bicep, right thigh, hips, waist and neck.  I cant bear to measure my bust and track its demise! I do wish I had done under bust though to track the back fat lost


Total weight loss to date on


  • Waist - 6.75"
  • Neck -  0.75" This amazes me every time, I didn't know I had fat on my neck to lose!
  • Hips - 3.25" at my smallest, gaining 1" after starting to concentrate on shaping up my ass
  • Right Thigh - 2" at my smallest, now gained 0.5" - sincerely hoping that's muscle!
  • Right Bicep - 1.75" at my smallest. Gaining 0.75" of pure, unadulterated muscle (I think)
All over the place!!

Ok, now for the pictures.  You will see from my handy work that I am quite simply, a whiz when it comes to graphics! This is my attempt to retain a little bit of dignity whilst flashing my half naked body across the internet.

These were Jan 2013 - how much are you loving my slippers!? I absolutely hate these pictures and they are here to remind my why I am doing this! bear in mind that at this point, I am still 10 lbs lighter than when I first started out in 2012.

















Told you you would love my handy work!! As you can see, my problem area is more than a little clear from these snaps.

And these were taken 10th July 2013.  I have realised on looking at these pictures, that i really should invest in some far more flattering undies!!  The quality of these is pretty poor as they have been taken on the shittest iPhone in the world



I'm especially fond of the fact that i can now see my collar bones and look how much more definition i have in my shoulders!  I will pay more attention to photo time going forward, these weren't taken with the intention of sharing them with the world!









And my favourite view of all, the area that requires the most work between now and wedding dress d-day!! nfortunately, I have only just thought to start comparing the rear view! You've just got to love, love, love those pants!

Weight: 10st 7lb (67.1kg)      last month: 10st 12lb (69.4kg)
BMI: 23.5                                              24.0

Body Fat% 26.1                                    26.1    (I am ignoring the mid month % of 23, I think that machine                                                                                                                         must have been slightly off!)

Body fat mass 17.5kg                            18.1kg

So, what I conclude from this is that I am losing fat but also muscle too.  I need to put extra effort in to the heavier weights as well as the low intensity cardio.  Obviously, some muscle loss during weight loss is inevitable but.. still a concern.

Hips            36"                                      37.25"    Oh yes!! This is where I can see it most this time

Neck          13.75"                                 13.25"     This amuses us no end, my neck is only 3/4" smaller than                                                                               my bicep!

I cant get them to line up for some reason! I can really see the muscle line coming up above my pubic bone.. I have no idea what that area is called, lower abdomen I guess! this is where I have shifted the size from this month



This view below is the one I hate the most! And look how uneven my shoulders are! I have a winged scapula on the right hand side, and cant you tell!!  

When I scroll up and look at my original pics! WOW!!! makes it all worth the effort then!

I have removed the months in between so that it is easier to read and you can also see what I have lost between last month and this month.

My body fat this months is 24.7% which is down from the previous month of 25.3% Unfortunately, I didn't take it on the first few months so the earliest measurement I have for this is from May and it was 26.7%

My body fat mass has gone from 18.7 kg to 16.4 kg from May until now.
